Pocono Mountains Ski Season 2025-2026: What's New at Blue Mountain Resorts and Camelback Resort
Poconos Iconic Resorts Unveil Major Snowmaking, Lift and Dining Upgrades in Advance of 2025-2026 Winter Season
PALMERTON & TANNERSVILLE, Pa. - Pennsylvania's Blue Mountain Resort and Camelback Resort are gearing up for an epic 2025-2026 winter season. Both Pocono Mountains year-round getaways are rolling out major infrastructure enhancements, upgraded snowmaking systems, new dining and après-ski experiences as well as expanded guest programs designed to make this season their best yet.
Blue Mountain is set to open for winter on November 28, 2025, followed by Camelback's winter debut on December 12, 2025.
Blue Mountain Resort: Brighter Trails, Better Snow
Home to Pennsylvania's highest vertical with 171 skiable acres across 40 trails, Blue Mountain is stepping up its game this season with cutting-edge snowmaking and improved night skiing.
New installations include two TechnoAlpin TT10 tower-mounted fan guns at the base area and two mobile, fully automated TR10 fan guns - all designed to deliver faster, more efficient snow coverage. Underground piping upgrades on several key trails - Shuttle Frontier Alley, Lower Sidewinder, Lower Lazy and Tubing Hill 3 - will further boost water flow and snowmaking capacity.
In addition, 380 trail lights have been upgraded to energy-efficient LEDs, brightening favorite runs including Challenge, Razor's Edge, Main Street, Chute, Midway, Nightmare, Dreamweaver and Switchback for an enhanced night-skiing experience.
Camelback Resort: Faster Snow, Smarter Lifts
With 560 acres of winter terrain and a reputation for family-friendly fun, Camelback continues to elevate the guest experience. This season brings major lift and snowmaking improvements, including upgrades to the high-speed Stevenson Lift with enhanced mechanical and electrical systems for smoother, more reliable operation.
Snowmaking gets a serious boost too. New high-pressure feed and summit supply lines now power Margie's Delight and Sullivan trails, delivering faster, automated snow coverage. The resort has also added 32 HKD Klik auto hydrants and 32 HKD Impulse stick guns for consistent snow quality across the mountain.
Viking-Inspired Ullr Fest Celebrations
To welcome winter in true alpine style, both resorts will host their own Ullr Fest, a tribute to Ullr - the Norse god of snow and skiing. These festive gatherings feature abundant food and drink, live music, ski decorating and a roaring bonfire to summon a snow-filled season and will be held in November.
- Camelback Ullr Fest: November 8, 4 to 9 p.m. at Camelback Mountain Village with fireworks
- Blue Mountain Ullr Fest: November 15, 4 to 9 p.m. at the Valley Lodge
